With a spate of fish thefts going on in this area, a member has pointed out that often the padlock securing our access gate to Riley’s Pool has been closed and locked without fully scrambling the numbers, i.e. only one dial has been turned to secure the padlock.
This makes it very easy for non-members/thieves to just turn the last dial to complete the correct combination for opening the padlock and gaining access, either then or later.
MEMBERS: PLEASE SPIN ALL PADLOCK DIALS AFTER USE, BOTH WHEN YOU ARE LEAVING AND AFTER YOU HAVE ENTERED TO FISH – IT WILL ONLY ADD SECONDS TO THE WHOLE PROCESS.
