Our Annual General Meeting (AGM) will take place as above, starting promptly at 8pm, and as usual it is being held at Hodnet Social Club. If you’ve not been before, it is situated just off the main road – next to the school in Hodnet.
The committee have agreed some resolutions to be put to the meeting, which will involve adoption of a revised set of angling rules, membership fees and [as a result] an amended constitution. The main changes proposed are:
1/ To reinforce the need for members who join/renew via Clubmate, to print their emailed cards AND stick their photo on it. If for some reason you haven’t done so you will be asked by those checking to produce officially recognised photo ID or leave the water.
2/ To require all members to be in possesion of a landling net [who wouldn’t be] but also an unhooking mat when fishing, and to use them for all fish weighing 3lb or more.
3/ Requiring members to use dipping tanks for nets/mats before and after fishing at our venues – where such tanks are provided by us.
4/ Irrespective of the type of EA Rod Licence held, restricting the number of rods members may use at the same time to two [currently 3].
5/ Removing the current discretionary £5 interim fee [if paid with next years full fee] if joining 1/1 – 31/3 each year; and to replace it with a stand alone ‘Winter’ only membership, for period 1/11 – 31/3, at either £25 (Concessionary) or £35 (Full) rates. These options will then be able to be offered via Clubmate.
If that wasn’t exciting enough to entice you along! you may care to know that after the AGM a free light buffet is served.
Hope to see you there.
Note. As we are now within 14 days of the AGM, no further resolutions can be tabled for this coming membership year.
